Day 1 of M-B Fashion Week Lj
As we were waiting in the long line to get in I couldn’t help noticing all the young people around us. 20-something-year-olds were ruling the scene, not so much with their fashion sense but much more with their attitude. Talking about Lady Gaga and Katy Perry just behind us. In front of us there was an senior lady in an awesome 80-ies blazer with big padded shoulders and a crazy parrot pattern. Loved her look and absolutely loved the generation gap, with me somewhere in between. It made me smile, made me remember my grandmom, made me remeber that eventually everything passes, people and fashion and that it’s O.K. like that.
Inside the scene was nice, we had some refreshments, took a couple of photos and we found our place to sit and enjoy. Mihaela, master of photography immediately found a place with a better view for taking photos, the thought didn’t even cross my mind. 😉
Sister’s Proković fashion show was awesome! Jelena and Svetlana never seize to amaze me. It was kinda apocaliptyc with a lot of velvet and just a touch of beautiful emerald green and eclectic blue. And a lot of bald heads…? But it was cool and it made sense.
It made me feel like I was in a year 2117, looking out of a window. Some old Mercedez-Benz relics parked on the street, a surviving memorial of time. Bald people in cool clothes on their way, moving forward, quickly, with no hesitation and eye contact.
And THAT’S what I call a great fashion show! It takes you somewhere else, everything fits together and aesthetically works. Thank you JSP! And I can not wait to see your wonderful pieces up close and personal.
